Series Description:Science Fiction/Fantasy blend: 4 part serial: Magic is an advanced science that humans don't understand. Two young people are betrothed at birth and forced by alien races to serve as the secret King and Queen of contemporary Earth: from the UK, Stefan, a seventh-grade artistic prodigy and from the US, Tova, a nineteen-year-old life sciences genius. Both were raised as humans and left to discover that they will be immortal at age nineteen. Using their emerging magic, they must protect the kingdom of Earth from unwanted alien intrusions. Shy, reclusive Stefan is ripped from his childhood and has eight weeks to learn to rule. Tova must do more than love Stefan — she must keep him sane or kill him to protect humans from his irrational use of his powers.
Book #1:
In this first part of the four part serial storyline, Elof, an abused Tibetan-American science wizard must teach the magical children, Ty and Tyco, to use their talents ethically. Otherwise, Tova will destroy them to protect Earth. Ty, the mysterious, fearful third-grade son of a British Prime Ministerial aid, has an ancient knowledge given to him by ‘ghosts’. Tyco, who is the fifth-grade son of a Mayan astronomer, must learn to keep his warrior impulses in check and protect his friend, Ty, from harm. While teaching these kids, Elof reconciles his own childhood with his sociopath father. Does he have a magical inheritance he has yet to discover? Far grittier than Harry Potter, this story is an intellectual puzzle of mysteries and surprises for readers ready to meet the challenge.
Book #2:
Tova2 and Stefan discover immortal love—a new species so lonely, so vulnerable to extinction. The Queen of Sophista’s unbridled ambition twists Stefan’s mind. Will Tova2, the new chief enforcer, kill the Queen to protect her love? Will Stefan’s teen meltdowns drive his enormous power to accidentally kill everyone? Stefan, the bio-battleground for so many races, struggles to understand who he is. Did his mentor and friend, Elof2, steal Tova2’s heart? Perhaps… but perhaps Stefan, with the help of the Great Sophistan and Tova2, will discover the king of all within.
Book #3:
Diabolical plans unfold to force Stefan's ascension. His choice: pass the trials and become King of Earth — or be killed. The corpus of supremely jealous beings would gleefully end his life, save for his passionate mate’s protection. Has a lust for killing been woven into her innocent core? Protection — a two edged sword — she is bound to euthanize him if his mind rips. Fairies are bound to promote love. Will the ambitious Queen of Sophista — The Queen of the Distant Fairies — ruthlessly stab Stefan’s innocence or simply instill Earth survival skills? Will Ty’s father’s dark past break his son’s heart? For the loving couple and their Children of Sophista, has paradise been truly lost? The Federation seeks to dominate. The snakes lurk in the shadows, ready to strike — and so does Atreyeu.
Book #4 (not released yet):
True horror: a teen with the power to destroy whole planets? No, Stefan can do more than that. The Ceremony of Life reveals who everyone truly is: they are Stefan’s toys. Tyco was born with a genetic flaw that must be fixed by the Lizards— creatures with no primate love who torture Tyco. Tova2 must help Stefan overcome his fears so he may use his Saeshell powers to rescue Tyco. How can Stefan and Tova2 fully use their talents to protect Earth without terrorizing the humans? Magic—magic is advanced science that humans don’t understand. Yet what does the rule of the wizards of Sophista portend for the Children of Sophista, the Fairies, the Saeshells, the Federation of the Twenty, and the humans—all those from which Stefan’s corporeal form was derived? Everyone fears the coming of the Sun Gods. Yet, Stefan and Aleah know something — something about the Sun Gods and Tova2.查看更多 - Some of you who won the previous giveaway may receive your book late. I was just checking the tracking information on all the packages and the post office is really messed up. I guess it's the Christmas flood of mail. Anyway, some packages have been disappearing off of the tracking and then reappearing quite late. It's like the postal sorters had a melt down (can they have melt downs?).
- Invisible Paul7 stuns Tyco's mom to protect Elof2. Why is she acting this way? Read Book #4, "The Saeshell Book of Time Part 4: The Ceremony of Life", scheduled for release in April, 2014. With numerous illustrations by Matt Curtis, this novel will be a really smokin' end to The Saeshell Book of Time story. But the Children of Sophista Book Series will continue with Book #5, "The Owl from Oblivion".
- Tyco doesn't understand what is happening. He will menta-morph soon into a Child of Sophista. Elof2 is attempting to show Tyco what telekinesis is. But a mysterious, malevolent telepathic voice from the Yucatan is reaching all the way up to... Arizona to lay claim to Tyco and it is threatening to kill Tyco if anyone interferes. This illustration by Matt Curtis is from Book #4, "The Saeshell Book of Time Part 4: The Ceremony of Life".查看更多

Do not use clones or virtual experiences. Many people don't know what they are. Do not use science except as a setting. Do not use parallel plot threads. Use only mono-threaded conversation style, not multi-threaded crowd style conversations with everybody talking at once like the British sometimes ...do. Do not have more than one or two main characters. People can't keep track of them. All other characters must be parasitic. Don't use numbers in people's names as people will automatically think you are writing an internet screen name. Do not allow your characters to have existential, abstract, or philosophical problems. They must be one of the 5 to 10 insolvable social/family problems that always happen to people.
Do not allow an empathetic or loving relationship between two people not romantically involved. Do not allow your aliens to act totally different than humans. Do not let all recently posed problems remain unsolved for more than two chapters. Do not stress your readers more than a token amount. Do not let your characters talk more than a token amount. No one can remember who said what otherwise. When writing narration, imagine the narrator telling a story at a campfire, with some people dozing off. Always describe the character's clothes and appearance extensively since that is how a reader can judge their worth and figure out their personality. Don't have gray characters. If a bad character acts good, they must have tells indicating they are bad. I'm sure I missed a number of things. Don't worry, I just needed to let off some steam. And as you might imagine, I break all these rules.查看更多 - #ChildrenOfSophista #Publishing Received my first shipment of the Color LCC Edition of Book #1 from the press. Looks like they contracted out the printing of this shipment. A little redder than the proof. But still looks good. The cover is a lot more glossy from this printer. Once I get things organized, I'll set up some giveaways. I can only give a few of these color books away since they are more expensive to print than the black and white ones. I just received what I think is the final press file for the color LCC Edition of book #2. So with any luck I'll be able to load that book into the press soon.
- The Lizards freeze the mind of their prey by transmitting telepathic pain and other signals which cause victims to lose control of their minds. Paul3, in the process of spasming, thrust his fingers repeatedly into the ground until the flesh... in the fingertips has disintegrated and all that remains are the crystalline fibers that carry the energy half of his mind and body. The intensity and seriousness steps up significantly in Book #3. This illustration is from Book #4 and shows that the intensity steps up drastically again. When trying to impose utopia on Earth and other planets, there is a significant price to be paid and mistakes can be catastrophic.查看更多
- One of the interesting things about the Lizard people is that their motivations and culture are very different from human conventions. Book #4 contains very detailed information about their culture. This illustration is by Matt Curtis.
- Every wonder why there are not many Pauls. They are sent to foreign worlds sometimes to be an ambassador for Sophista. Even though they contain great power and could disintegrate a creature, they have built-in inhibitions against killing. H...owever, not only are the Lizard men telepathic in a way different from those telepaths that descend from humans, they do not have any primate love. In fact, when you think about it, Lizards don't really have the concept of love at all.
This illustration just in from the series illustrator, Matt Curtis, is for Book #4, "The Saeshell Book of Time Part 4: The Ceremony of Life".查看更多 - The future of Science Fiction/Fantasy publishing is available now! Science as we know it is a very human endeavor. There is no indic...ation that our approach to scientific knowlege and its acquisition would be even remotely similar to an alien life form's. One thing I liked about Bronowski's outlook on science was that it is similar to perhaps how a #gifted teen might view science, namely that it does not really fit in a tidy little box. Art and music have strings that tie into science and sometimes in the endeavors involving art, one can discover new scientific concepts if one is attuned to the music of science. As you read through my serial, one of the things you discover is that one reason the Saeshells are so advanced is that they have discovered a way to merge science and art. When you read Book #4, "The Saeshell Book of Time Part 4: The Ceremony of Life", the story gives some indication of how they accomplished this merging. As I watch the degeneration of scientific thought in the US and the conversion of people into tools of production rather than people who fully understand the complete ramifications of scientific thought, this excerpt from the Ascent of Man really becomes relevant in a way. In this video, Bronowski laments the loss of scientific thought in the West but what if it's not a geographic locale losing this mode of thought but a planet, the Earth. It perhaps puts things in a nice context. What if indeed, that which makes science a human endeavor becomes totally lost. What if we find that humanity suddenly is no longer at the forefront of science.

The US price $13.99. Would you buy such a book? I'm hoping you will!
- #ChildrenOfSophista #Publishing Have you seen nostalgic science fiction with illustrations? Both the illustrations and text together would truly capture your imagination. You no longer have to read an old copy of H.G Wells to see an illustrated science fiction/fantasy. You can just pay $13.99 and experience it in the present day.
- #ChildrenOfSophista #Publishing Are you ready for a new era in science fiction/fantasy publishing? In the early to middle 1900's, before the age of greed in publishing, these genres' books were total experiences: art and the written word. I...t's time to return to that. Toward the top you have your standard trade paperback. Color in that book is expensive. Toward the bottom, you have the proof of the new LCC FULL high definition color Saeshell Book of Time Part 1. At $13.99, you will get 22 full color illustrations in a book that is as thin as a coloring book but full length and fully illustrated. Got you interested yet?查看更多
- #ChildrenOfSophista #Publishing The proofs of the LCC Edition of Book #1 are here! They look great. I'll try and post a picture later. As far as I know, this is the first full color full length science fiction novel with 22 high definition full color illustrations that will sell for the low price of $13.99.
- #MindBlowing When looking at the statistics of the #Goodreads 2013 Book Awards, I can't believe how few people there read science fiction. If you judge the popularity of a genre by the number of people voting, science fiction is a lot smaller than the other genres. When I was growing up, science fiction was extremely popular. It's like people have switched to largely hating science. Since I grew up loving science, it feels like I am on an alien planet sometimes. Maybe I was abducted in my sleep!
- Queen Anashivalia has brought Ty to meet a Saeshell. What do you think she is doing to Ty? Ty is already telepathic so what is this? This illustration by Matt Curtis is from Book #4, "The Saeshell Book of Time Part 4: The Ceremony of Life". Book #4 will be released in April, 2014.
- Sometimes Saeshells influence people. This Saeshell is called Neshalia and she is also known as the Saeshell Nanny. I wonder who she is influencing. Is she influencing you? Illustration by series illustrator, Matt Curtis.
