I think we should rather consider each case.
I think Dreamworks is trying to expand its audience: the animations are addressed to children, then parents who keep accompany their children may be bored. In oder to interest adults too, they have to add something more suitable for adults.
But I completely agree that kids i……nnocency is losing in DreamWorks movies. But it is too difficult to please both.
I don't like films which talk about dating, sex... very much, I prefer something simple and childish, but I'm sure that not every adult who watch the animation with their children are from my point of view.
It's such an interesting remark but complacate to find an answer.
